Yowah Opal Festival 2010

The AnnualYowah Opal Festival incorporating the Designer Jewellery Competition will be held in Yowah on 16, 17th and 18th July 2010.

Visit the charismatic mining town of Yowah to experience a unique opal mining lifestyle during Festival time. Discover activities for the whole family including fossicking for your own exquisite mosaic and boulder opal, and yowah nut opal found only in this region.

Meet the local opal miners or experience opal mining on a Kaleidoscope mine tour. Spend time exploring the landscape and marvel at the birdlife. Visit the Bluff for wonderful photo opportunities. Find yourself in an opal shop or art gallery.

The Festival features a Designer Jewellery Competition, Opal Stalls and Tailgating, Windlass Races, Food and Licenced Bar, Camp Fires, and Entertainment.
