Yowah Opal Festival

Yowah Opal Festival

The Yowah Opal Festival 20-22 July 2012.

Usually held in July each year, the Yowah Opal Festival provides an opportunity for you to visit the charismatic mining town of Yowah and experience a unique opal mining lifestyle.

Of course, you don't have to wait for Festival time to visit Yowah!

Discover activities for the whole family including fossicking for your own exquisite mosaic and boulder opal, and yowah nut opal found only in this region.

Meet the local opal miners or experience opal mining on a Kaleidoscope mine tour. Spend time exploring the landscape and marvel at the birdlife. Visit the Bluff for wonderful photo opportunities. Find yourself in an opal shop or art gallery.
